Camshaft adjuster for thel TFSI 2.0 EA113. This part is known to fail and cause various issues regarding timing and even the oil pressure can be affected.

Timing chain set

This chain is located at the back of the cylinder head, connecting the two camshafts. The upper chain track of the tensioner is under high load and tends to break. This is caused by the angle created due to a stretched chain.

Failure of the chain tesioner will in many cases cause the fault code: P000A/000010 – Camshaft A (Bank 1 Intake): Positioner Slow Response.

OEM VAG

This bolt is a weak point in the EA113 engines. Due to very little material left around its waist it is prone to break right off. Therefore it is important never to reuse it once the camshast adjuster has been removed.
Fits all EA113 models.

Camshaft adjuster seal set

These seals are manufactured from a very unique material which is prone to break upon installation or removal of Camshaft adjuster. If one or more of the rings are damaged, this will lead to timing related issues. The seals are OEM VAG.

Camshaft TFSI 2.0 BPJ, Intake

Our camshafts are manufactured from a more durable material than the OEM. the TFSI 2.0 camshafts are notorious for becoming worn both in the journalled surfaces as well as the lobe driving the HPFP. If the journals are worn, this can lead to low oil pressure.

Cam adjuster kit

This kit contains two parts that are prone to fail in the TFSI 2.0 EA113 engines from VAG (Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat).

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. In the TFSI’s case however, it is only as strong as the tensioner. Sadly this particular component is not all that robust and when it breaks it often leads to severe engine failures, with the piston catching the valves as a result.

Another troublesome item is the camshaft adjuster, which often gets heavily worn in the sealing surface. Also its not uncommon for it to develop some exessive play causing rattling or ticking noises from the back of the engine.
